Admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the High Court of Australia, and the High Court of Kenya, Narinder has worked across multiple jurisdictions. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London and has practised in various legal environments, including nearly two years at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), where she was involved in market misconduct investigations. Additionally, Narinder practised as an Associate lawyer in Kenya for over four years, where she also served as a legal researcher at the Kenya Law Reform Commission (KLRC) during a pivotal time in the country’s constitutional history.
Narinder’s deep commitment to helping everyday Australians achieve justice was a key factor that drew her to GMP Law. She is particularly passionate about the firm’s focus on class actions, where the team is dedicated to holding large corporations and government entities accountable and ensuring justice for group members. She values the firm’s approach to listening to clients and guiding them through every step of the legal process.
One of Narinder’s most rewarding experiences was her involvement in the Ruby Princess Coronavirus Class Action. She assisted from the initiation of the case through to trial, helping thousands of affected passengers, including families of those who tragically passed away. The case reached the High Court of Australia, where a unanimous decision allowed overseas group members to participate in the class action, securing a significant victory for those impacted.
Shaped by inspiring mentors and driven by a strong commitment to fairness and equality, Narinder believes class actions offer a powerful platform for effecting meaningful change. She is confident in the impact that the class action team at GMP Law can have in delivering justice for those who need it most.
