After receiving a degree in psychology in 1998 from the University of Sydney Christine went on to successfully complete a Bachelor of Law, graduating in 2001. Studying human behaviour has given Christine a greater sense of empathy when working with her clients. She understands the pain associated with loss and the importance of communicating effectively with her clients. Seeing her clients being compensated gives Christine a great sense of satisfaction as she continues to deal with each case in a personal and determined manner.
Christine’s strengths are her ability to listen to her client’s needs and wants and then realistically analyse what can be achieved within the constraints of the legal process and convey this in a way that can be understood by her clients.
Christine specialises in medical law, most of her clients are those who have endured injuries or illnesses due to medical negligence. Because of her accreditation as a Personal Injury Specialist from the Law Society of New South Wales, Christine is an established expert in her field. Christine is also a Workers Compensation Independent Review Office (WIRO) approved Lawyer.
Even with her specialisation, Christine relishes the wide variety of challenges she faces in her work, particularly when it comes to solving different kinds of problems. Christine attends rigorous training on a regular basis to make sure she remains knowledgeable in case law and the legislative developments in her field. This ongoing instruction also allows her to stay on top of her game.
Christine also represents clients who have suffered as a result of sexual abuse. Although the area is trying and often confronting the difference Christine makes to her clients’ future is so rewarding. Christine’s approach to these sensitive matters is trauma informed so she has the specialty and empathy to deal with those who have suffered abuse.
Christine enjoys the diversity of her work as well as the problem solving nature of her practice. Christine regularly attends intensive and on-going training in her areas of experience to ensure she is up to date with all legislative changes and case law.
Fluent in both English and Arabic, in her spare time Christine loves exploring the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
