Showq is a Graduate Solicitor at GMP Law, specialising in Workers’ Compensation, Work Injury Damages, and Public Liability. With a strong academic foundation, Showq holds a Bachelor of Criminology/Bachelor of Law from Western Sydney University (2022), a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law (2022), and a Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of New South Wales (2024), specialising in Dispute Resolution and Corporate, Commercial, and Taxation Law. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2024 and is fluent in Arabic.
Showq joined GMP Law as she was drawn to the firm’s core values of integrity, respect, passion, and commitment. She is passionate about representing individuals in the community, offering her legal expertise to help clients navigate difficult situations and secure the justice they deserve.
One of the most rewarding cases Showq handled involved a client who suffered a life-changing injury at work. Showq navigated complex insurance issues and successfully secured a substantial settlement for medical expenses and emotional suffering, which helped the client rebuild their life. Seeing the client regain stability and hope after such a traumatic event reinforced Showq’s commitment to making a real difference in people’s lives.
A significant career highlight for Showq has been graduating with her Master of Law from UNSW and being admitted as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. These achievements mark important milestones in her legal career and reflect her commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
