Our Process

Qualifying for a TPD claim

Play Video

To be eligible for a TPD claim, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You have been off work for six months or more, as a result of injury or illness
  • You are unlikely to return to work, in the same occupation or capacity as before the injury or illness
  • You have appropriate superannuation cover for total and permanent disablement

How to file a claim

A TPD claim is made separately from any personal injury claim you may already have in motion including medical negligence, motor vehicle accident, workers’ compensation, or public liability claims. GMP Law can help you file multiple claims to maximise your compensation entitlements.

Here are steps to take in order to file a TPD claim:

1Contact your superannuation provider to understand what type of coverage you have, and what your policy will cover.

2Contact GMP Law for an obligation-free consultation to discuss your eligibility to make a TPD claim.

3We’ll gather evidence to build your case, and support you through every step of the TPD claims process.

A superannuation lawyer can help to determine if your experience is eligible for a superannuation claim.

Our guarantee
No Win, No Fee TPD Lawyers

Not all ‘No Win No Fee’ legal firms are the same. Here at GMP Law, we cover 100% of all upfront costs.

Our no win, no fee guarantee

We take on 100% of all upfront costs for you. If you don’t win, we won’t charge you anything for our work — that is the basis of our law firm.

This approach also signifies that if — in the rare instance — we do not win your case, you will not be required to pay a contingency fee for our work together.

This means that you can focus more on healing, without the additional worry of legal costs by seeking the compensation you rightfully deserve.

Upon winning your case, we do not charge a percentage of the settlement — as may be commonly expected. Rather, we charge based on our time.

We are dedicated to serving Australia with the utmost commitment to our clients’ success and satisfaction, as evidenced by our 98% success rate and $4 billion in settlements delivered.

Why GMP Law

With GMP Law, you gain compassionate, committed and competent legal services that have resulted in a 98% success rate across over 35,000 claims, translating to billions of dollars for our clients.
